Today, I threw a huge party at my house. My autistic little brother was upstairs alone in his room. My best friend decided he shouldn’t have to be alone so she went up to his room to say hi.
She ended up missing the whole party just to hang out with him. It was the first time i heard him laugh in months. LGMH
About 6 years ago, my best friends brother died in a drunk driving accident. Last night I was sleeping over at my best friends house and we were about to go to sleep. My friend got up and I overheard her open up her brother’s bedroom door and say, “Goodnight Steve. I love you.”

I work at a women’s clothing store. A woman came into the store with her husband. He explained each clothing item in detail to her, then brought her into the dressing room and dressed her himself, telling her how beautiful she looked in each outfit.

Tonight an 18 year old boy working with me seemed very upset. When I asked him why, he said, “My girlfriend doesn’t have service where she is staying tonight. I haven’t told her I loved her today. I’ve told her every day for the last three years.”

My grandma has had Alzheimer’s for over 8 years now. She can no longer walk, go to the washroom by herself, feed herself or remember any of her family members. My grandpa is almost 75 and on medication for depression but still insists on taking care of my grandma by himself because he can’t bear to leave her in a nursing home. Grandpa, your LGMH
My Grandpa’s best friend was in the hospital years ago. He died, but my grandpa came into the hospital room and did CPR for 20 minutes despite everyone telling him to stop. After 20 minutes he regained consciousness. His friend lived for years after. My Grandpa’s LGMH
My boyfriend came over yesterday and we had a good time. My mother passed away over a year ago and I have a picture of her on my desk. When he was leaving, he went to go get his things off of my desk. He looked at the picture of my mom and said “Mrs. H, you have a pretty amazing daughter.”

About a month ago I had moved to Italy for school. I had become rather lonely and it was very difficult for me to make friends.

I was looking through my boyfriends cell phone contacts the other day, and when I couldn’t find my name I got really upset. My little brother has social development issues. On the car ride home after his last day of 3rd grade, he tells me that he completed every section in his yearbook except the Best Friend’s section. Why? Because his BF didn’t go to his school, and he only had one.

Today, when walking home from school in tears after a terrible day. A little boy on my road sitting at the end of his driveway stopped me. He said “You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen,” and handed me a rose.

My best friend was going into the Air Force when I finally decided to tell him I loved him. I told him when he was walking to get onto his plane. He turned around, kissed me, and we walked to his car.

I was going to have a sleepover with my best friend. She said we’d be home alone. Then she realized she was wrong when her dad came home. She FORCED me to leave. I was so mad at her. I found out that her dad brutally abused her when he was home. She just was protecting me.

Today was my birthday. My daughter came running into my room and said she had a surprise for me. As I stepped out of my room, I started to cry and she screamed “Do you like it?”

Today I went to welcome the troops home from Iraq. As soon as the soldiers got in formation and everybody got quiet, a little girl about 3 years old yelled out,

My grandmother died about eight years ago. My grandfather still says “we” instead of “I”, and continues to talk about her in the first person.
