Today, I drove my grandparents to the hospital for my grandpa’s rehab therapy. He has cancer in his bones, making it rather difficult for him to walk. Through his pain and struggle, he still manages to walk ahead of my grandma to open and close every door for her. His little acts of love despite his pain GMH.

School just let out, and I was walking down the hallways of my high school and saw a special needs couple holding hands. It was probably one of the CUTEST things I have ever seen. They looked so happy. I overheard the boy tell the girl “I hope our love lasts forever.” Their LGMH.

My mom and I contracted Dengue fever at the same time. Since it’s a hemorrhaging fever that causes our platelets to drop dangerously low, we both needed blood badly. Unable to give blood himself, my boyfriend drove people from our school to the hospital to donate blood for us. 4 days and 12 donors later, we were both well. His dedication GMH.

At 3AM wednesday, i went down to the kitchen to wash my midnight snack dishes when i stumbled upon my 14-yr-old brother with a bag of Hershey’s kisses. As i got closer, i saw that he was replacing the paper sticking out of the wrapper on the candy kisses w/ strips where he printed out lyrics to give to his GF the next day. School starts at 7AM. Today I met an elderly woman at a hospital I volunteer at. When I had to take her to another room, her husband helped me seat her in a wheelchair even though he was so weak that he also needed one. As I pushed him down the hall behind his wife, he asked if I could move his wheelchair next to hers so that they could hold hands. His love for her GMH

My family has been having financial issues since my mom is a single mother with four children. I didn’t eat lunch because I didn’t want her to spend money on me even though I played sports after school. My girlfriend noticed this and made me lunch every day for my whole senior year. Her love GMH.

My parents are both terminally ill, and I drive home from college on the weekends to check on them. This weekend I walked in and was worried to hear a crash. Turns out that my 60 year old parents had found the foam swords I’d bought for my nephews and were dueling, giggling hysterically.

My grandpa was deployed to the Korean War just before proposing to my grandma. He sent her a box, and asked her not to open it until he returned. She saved it for 2 years until he did, never knowing if he would return, to open it and see the ring. They’ve been married 55 years. Their love GMH.

I was going to the hospital for a check up with my cardiologist. I saw an elderly couple walking to a car. The man was having a lot more trouble walking than his wife, but sped up in front of her, so he could open the car door for her and help her inside. Love like that GMH.

A few weeks ago, a friend and I went to the mall. We passed by Johnny Rocket’s and saw an old couple dancing in front of the restaurant, extraordinarily happy and without a care in the world. That was the day that I learned what true love really was.

My first semester of college was terribly lonely. One night there was a knock on my door, I looked outside and there were roses in the hallway with notes telling me to go down the hall and etc. I followed the instructions. At the end of the trail was my boyfriend… waiting to take me home for the weekend.

Three years ago, my friend was rushed to the ER due to abuse from her parents. My brother, who didn’t even really know her, still took the first flight there with an armful of candy and things for entertainment. She burst into tears. He was the only person who bothered to visit. This spring, I will be the best man at their wedding. His love GMH

22 years ago, a 16 year old girl was pregnant with a baby of rape. Understanding the circumstances, her parents told her to abort or be disowned. Her best friend - her 18 year old neighbor - although he was not the father, stepped into the father figures shoes. They got married 2 years later. Mom and Dad, your love for me and for each other GMH.

Today I was visiting my grandmother in the nursing home when I saw an elderly couple walking hand in hand. I called a nurse to ask about them thinking they were just two very confused people. The nurse told me that the woman does have severe demensia but that the man is her husband. He admitted himself so they would not be separated.

Today, while reading the local newspaper, I came across a couple who had been married for 80 years. The wife who was 16 when they first got married is now 96 and the husband who was first 20 is now 100. Loving couples who are faithful and can still feel the same love toward each other as 80 years ago, GMH

A long time ago, I was on the verge of committing suicide when a guy came to the roof to have lunch.
He saw me climbing over the railing and asked me to share his lunch with him. After receiving my puzzled look, he explained, “Everyone should die happy. Or at least with a full stomach.”
We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last month.

Five months ago I was in a life shattering car accident that left doctors saying I would never walk again. My boyfriend has spent most of his senior year with me at my physical therapy appointments and never let me give up. Last night I danced with him at his final band banquet. His sacrifice and faith in me GMH.

I was walking down the street and moving slowly in front of me was a couple. The woman was elderly and being pushed in a wheelchair by a nurse. Her elderly husband who could barely walk himself held a cane in one hand and her arm in his other. Their love for one another was stronger then their frailty. Hand in hand, they GMH.

When my 90 year old grandfather was being moved from a rehab facility to an assisted living center, the first thing he did was tell my mother to “Take good care of Mama.” “Mama” is my grandmother. She died last April. He wanted to make sure her picture wasn’t left behind. Undying love GMH.

I don’t have an incredible love story like some of the LGMH’s on here. My husband and I didn’t meet in kindergarten, or on a bridge, or after a traumatic event. For a while that bothered me, but then I realized that if we can love each other as much as we do without that kind of story, than, more than ever before, LGMH.

Last week while I was gone, my boyfriend came to my house and cleaned my room. He folded three loads of laundry and made it spotless. Today, I put on a pair of jeans and later felt something in my pocket, I reached my hand in and pulled out a note saying “I love you”. The ways he shows his love GMH.

I’ve been recovering from years of depression and self-harm. My boyfriend has been helping me recover every step of the way, by funding my treatment and making sure I’m never alone. Today I was feeling really down about myself. He tossed me my dictionary and said to look up “beautiful.” He had taped in my picture.

After a domestic violence altercation, my bed-ridden mother and I were forced out of our home. My boyfriend sold his ipod, laptop and video game consoles and worked 45 hours a week while still attending school to help us afford an apartment without asking for a thing in return.

When I was 16, I got pregnant. When I told my boyfriend, he stayed with me. He put up with me, even when I screamed about how I hated my life, wanted to die or blame him for everything. In my 8th month, I told him to get out. He still came to hold my hand when I delievered, and to stay to get up with her at night. His LGMH.

Today, I was walking in a dog park. I reached this really steep hill, and noticed someone rolling down it, laughing the whole way. At first I passed it off as a just a kid. Then I noticed that it was a woman at least 60 years old, and that her husband was waiting at the bottom of the hill to catch her.

My younger brother was born with a severe disability. My parents are his main caretakers and the thought of what will happen to him when they’re gone has always scared me.
I confided this in my boyfriend recently and without skipping a beat, he said “we’ll take him.”

Today in the Walmart parking lot I saw an older couple, not exactly what you would call fit, leaving the store. The woman was carrying a bag and the man leaned over and took it from her. That’s when I saw him whisper something in her ear.
Suddenly she broke into a run, as did he. She won the race to the truck.
Her prize was a kiss.

Lately my dad has been really angry and distant, and i feel like it’s just wearing my mom down.
I went home to visit today and found a journal in the bathroom. Opening it up, I realized that each day my dad writes a brand new thing he loves about my mom and leaves it for her to read.

I was sick and couldn’t sleep and was afraid that I was keeping my husband awake. I told him that I would sleep in the living room since he had to go to work in the morning. He picked up my blankets and pillows and joined me in the living room because he didn’t want me to sleep alone. His LGMH.

I was wearing a short sleeved shirt for the first time in years. I was nervous that when my boyfriend saw my scars he wouldn’t want to be with me anymore. Instead he kissed my scars, and told me that if I ever felt bad enough to hurt myself again, that he would take the pain instead.
